Round Norfolk Relay

By Steve July 25th, 2017

It is that time of year to start thinking about the Round Norfolk Relay which is a race around Norfolk as it says on the tin, this is great team event so come on pacers we NEED YOU. The race is around county boundary of Norfolk, being 198miles and divided into 17 stages so take a great deal of organising and coordinating for our club, so anybody who can help will be greatly appreciated.

This years ROUND NORFOLK RELAY is on the 16th and 17th September.

We have entered two teams of 17 and with marshals, timekeepers, etc. will need a total of at least 50 people to be certain of a smooth running event. Contact Ian Gooderham (email below) if you can offer to help or would like to run.

The kinds of help required being cycle support, car support (following the runner), time keeping and moping the runners brows etc. The runners run different distances and of course run at different times, day and night (what could be better than running while watching the sun rise), for more info use the link below. There are 54 teams (at present) taking part this year.

Please look at www.roundnorfolkrelay.com for more info and to give you an idea of what is involved in the event.

Email     ian.gooderham1@btinternet.com     ASAP to book your place in the teams or notify if you can support.  Only space for 34 runners in total so be quick.
